BASIC SOLAR FACTS

sonce 300x200 BASIC SOLAR FACTS

SUN is our closest star and gives us light and warmth. Suns ray travel from Sun to the Earth for 8 minutes. Distance from sun to earth is 93,000,000 miles.

Pollution causes less clear, more cloudy and foggy air, and therefore prevents sun rays reaching the earth.

SOLAR ENERGY is  electrical  or  thermal energy  acquired by converting  sun’s rays into electricity or heat, with the use of solar panels or thermal collectors to supply electrical power, or warming water in our homes.

Measure for solar power is kWh = 1 kilowatt-hour = 1000 watts. 1 kWh = amount of electricity required for 100 watt bulb to emit light for 10 hours.A 1-kilowatt home solar system consists of 10-12 solar panels (about 100 square feet).

Solar energy can be collected, stored, insulated, reflected, absorbed and transmitted.

An average family with 3 – bedroom home requires 1,5 – 3,0 kW solar system, which costs US $13,000 and US $27,000.
An average American household uses approximately 920 kWh of energy per month, which costs around US $ 120,00. If you buy solar system for US $20,000, the cost would pay out in 14 years. The system usually comes with a 5-year warranty (solar panels are warranted for 20 years, and last research shows amazing results when after using panels for 30 years – quality and energy absorption hasn’t changed at all).

The question is: WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
